This policy explains what personal data Job59 collects, why we collect it, and how we protect it. It is published in line with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

1. Information we collect

  • Account information: your name, email address and profile photo from Google when you log in with Google.
  • Contact details: phone number, target job role, experience and preferences you share on our sign-up form.
  • Career information: your resume, or the education, work experience, skills, projects and certifications you enter so we can create a resume for you.
  • Job portal access (LinkedIn + Naukri plan only): your LinkedIn profile URL, your Naukri registered email or phone, and the login access you choose to share with us.
  • Payment information: payments are processed by our payment partner. We do not store your card, UPI or bank details.
  • Usage data: basic technical information such as browser type and pages visited, used to keep the website secure and working.

2. How we use your information

  • To create and improve your resume, cover letter and portfolio website.
  • To find suitable jobs and submit applications on your behalf on company career pages, by email to recruiters, and on job sites.
  • For the LinkedIn + Naukri plan, to log in to your LinkedIn and Naukri accounts and apply to jobs from them, only after you give explicit permission.
  • To send you updates about your applications, account and payments.
  • To provide customer support and respond to your requests.
  • To comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for unrelated advertising.

3. Sharing your information

We share your information only when needed to deliver our services:

  • With employers, recruiters and job portals, when we apply to jobs on your behalf.
  • With service providers that help us run the website, such as hosting, email and payment processing, under confidentiality obligations.
  • When required by law, court order or a government authority.

4. Job portal credentials

  • We never ask for passwords through our website forms.
  • Access is set up only after you give written consent, and is stored securely and used only by authorised team members to apply to jobs for you.
  • You can revoke access at any time by changing your password or asking us to stop. We delete stored access details within 7 days of cancellation or a revocation request.

5. Data retention

We keep your information while your account is active. After you cancel, we delete or anonymise your personal data within 90 days, unless we must keep certain records (such as payment records) to meet legal requirements.

6. Security

We use reasonable security practices, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), restricted access and secure storage, to protect your data. No system is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and will notify you and the authorities of any breach as required by law.

7. Your rights

You can:

  • Ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Ask us to correct or update inaccurate information.
  • Withdraw your consent and ask us to delete your data.
  • Raise a complaint with our Grievance Officer.
